Join the Blue Fun Run for Willen Hospice in Milton Keynes

Willen Hospice is inviting all running enthusiasts to join them for their charity Lake Run on Sunday 6 October.

It’s hard to feel blue while you’re running, but you can look blue with the new 2K Fun Run!

Families with children aged 4+, and anyone who feels like being a bit silly, can put on their best wig, face paint, fancy-dress costume – anything blue – and run for a great cause.

There are also new 5K and 10K routes for runners of all levels, who want the extra feel good factor of supporting their local hospice on their morning run. The 10K and 5K routes will be chip-timed so it’s a great opportunity to set a new personal best.

Katrina Walsh, Events Fundraiser, said: “The Willen Hospice Lake Run is a fantastic event, with distances that suit everyone, whether they’re new to running or have been doing it for a while. It’s also a great opportunity for people to raise much-needed funds for their local Hospice.”

The Lake Run is open to all abilities, and everyone taking part gets a special Lake Run Medal.

Willen Hospice needs to raise £4.7million every year, that’s £9 a minute. To help them reach that target, the Hospice is encouraging all runners to get sponsorship for taking part in the Lake Run.
