LAST CHANCE TO SEE: The One World Club comes to an end in Milton Keynes this week after nine years

After nine years of delivering World Music and dance to the area, the One World Club is coming to an end.

"It's time to acknowledge my advancing years and hang up my One World Club hat," says organiser Andrew Gilbert.

The last event - happening on Saturday (September 29) at St Edwards Church in Shenley Church End, brings together some of the most popular acts who have performed under the banner in the past few years.

Bilal Walasali, a famous Syrian singer now resident in the new city, is about as good as it gets when it comes to Arabic singers, and he will be showing why.

Trained operatic singer Miriam McComie, rapper Ben Silver and the Free Peace Band are all showing out too.

Debbie Murray will belt out the blues and soul, multicultural hot-pot Crossroots will be a surefire hit, and there will be stage spots by singer-guitarist Natasha Gilbert and Leon Silver too.

Breaking with tradition, this show won't be free entry though. Instead, it will be raising funds for refugees settling in Milton Keynes.

It's still a snip at a mere fiver though! Doors open at 7pm.

Book online rwmk.eventbrite.co.uk or pay up on the night.
