MEET SLATED AUTHOR TERI TERRY AT WATERSTONES ON WEDNESDAY

They say you draw inspiration from your surroundings, and author Teri Terry has plenty to choose from  – she has lived in France, Canada, Australia and England, and at a great many addresses.

'It has given me an obsession with characters who don't belong or find themselves in unfamiliar places,' she says.

Putting that obsession to good use, she has written her Slated trilogy of reads, before following with last year's Mind Games and Dangerous Games.

And now, pausing the futuristic thriller button for a while, she returns with the contemporary supernatural thriller, Book of Lies.

Out for the past month or so, it focuses on twins who meet for the first time at their mother's funeral, and it's this page-turner that brings her to Waterstones at intu, this Wednesday (April 27).

Teri will be signing copies from 5pm, and then between 6pm and 7pm she will attend a Young Adult Book Club 'Teens Between the Pages' to discuss the work.
