MÓTUS plan special dance performance at Milton Keynes Gallery

If you have ever wondered what goes into creating a piece of dance performance, you need to join MÓTUS for an evening of dance performance and discussion streamed live from the Sky Room at MK Gallery. 

At the event, on April 15 at 7pm, hree choreographers will share new work in progress to receive feedback from the on-line audience and a friendly professional industry panel on their work and its impact, to help further mould, shape and develop their creations. 

 

The programme will run as follows:

Ascensions present 'Resilient'
'Resilient' is a new dynamic dance duet that is reflective of the coronavirus pandemic, the collective strength of humanity and the loss felt by the UK creative industry. 'Resilient' addresses companionship and trust as two people lean on each other for support and guidance.

Thrive Dance present 'Untitled'
Thrive Dance will present a duet which explores plant bio-acoustics, looking at how plants send electrical signals through their roots. Artistic Director Sarah Poekert, has shown her work across the UK and the US, across numerous platforms and is currently artist in residence at Space Clarence Mews, in London.

Vanhulle Dance Theatre present 'BOO SHIM' (Empty Mind)
Oliver and Laura of Vanhulle Dance Theatre are looking at combining their artistic practice and movement language. Using Oliver’s Martial Arts techniques (Tang Soo Do) together with Laura’s movement flow (influenced by Kathak, African dance, yoga, gymnastics) the duet are working on creating a specific choreographic language for audiences.
