Newport Pagnell's Civil War - a musical remembrance

Mixing music with history is the order of the day this Sunday (July 24) in Newport Pagnell with Olney Brass employed to bring music to the banks of the river in Ousebank Gardens.

Picnic in the grounds of the Brooklands Centre for the music, while the players take you to destinations around the world, between 2pm and 4pm.

Before that, at 12.45pm, a Civic Service is being held at the Parish Church at 12.45pm.  It concerns the Civil War, and Newport Pagnell's role in the long-running conflict between the Parliamentarians and the Royalists, with both sides desiring Newport as their own...
