One Great Day at intu Milton Keynes

Families gathered at intu Milton Keynes on Saturday for a teddy bears’ picnic as part of the shopping centre’s ‘One Great Day’ event, which raised almost £300 for MK Hospital Charity and Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) Charity.

Families enjoyed face painting, games and cake for a small donation. Visitors were asked to bring along their favourite teddies, as well as picnic food from home or from one of intu Milton Keynes’ takeaway food vendors, for the teddy bears’ picnic from 12-2pm.

Milton Keynes Hospital Charity raises money for all wards and departments at Milton Keynes University Hospital, to help improve patient experience. GOSH is the hospital for seriously ill children, and its charity helps fund research, family support, refurbishments and life-saving medical equipment.

Kirsty McGiff, marketing manager at intu Milton Keynes, said: “Everyone had so much fun at this event, and it’s brilliant that we raised money for these vital causes in the process.

"As a centre we try and create compelling events for our shoppers and support local charities, such as Milton Keynes Hospital Charity and GOSH to create a positive impact on society, so look out for other similar events in the future.”
