Pete Coe opens the new season at The Song Loft

Stony Stratford's Song Loft returns after its summer break, and the first show of the new season this Friday (September 9)  is a welcome return for Pete Coe.

Pete's a stalwart of the scene, and has been a livewire  since the 70's, both at home, and away – with tour commitments across Europe, Asia, New Zealand and Stateside.

In those early days he recorded with Chris Coe, and was a member of the New Victory Band and Bandoggs.

In the late 80's and early 90's, Red Shift took his attentions, and since then he has largely operated as a soloist, with his strong distinctive voice enhancing his instrumental versatility, with his bouzouki, mountain dulcimer, banjo and melodeon.

Sometimes he sings, plays and step dances...all at the same time!

If you want to see that, you'll want to take a ticket for the show at The Cock Hotel.

Tickets are £7, and doors open at 8.15pm.
