Rabbit Awareness event to be hosted at Hula Animal Rescue

They are a favourite choice as a child's first pet, but bunnies need lots of care and attention - and cleaning out, writes Sammy Jones.

Hula Animal Rescue's monthly open day is going to be focusing on the long-eared lovelies this weekend.

Sunday's (June 11) event will show you how to keep your dandilion lover, happy and healthy.

The Herts, Beds and Bucks Rabbit Group will be giving a talk on-site at 1.45pm and a children's rabbit workshop and games will supplement the event.

Remember, rabbits are sociable animals, and love company, and they need a large hutch space, so think smart when purchasing.

To find out more, visit Hula - at Glebe Farm in Aspley Guise - on Sunday, between 1pm and 4pm.

Weather permitting the Hula dog parade will lead out at 2.30pm.

Entry is £2 for adults, 50p for children, and all proceeds will be put straight back into the care of its rescued animals.
