Schools Dance project opportunity at Milton Keynes Theatre

MÓTUS Dance is offering an exciting schools participation event this summer.

‘Fluid in Flight’ is an evening of schools work created by 10 acclaimed UK choreographers who will work across 20 schools in Milton Keynes.

The theme of the work is journeys, and artists will work with this stimulus to create original work with up to 25 pupils per school, for performances at Milton Keynes Theatre on July 8, 2019.

Style of work will vary from Contemporary - Lindy Hop - Bollywood - African - Street - and many more.

MÓTUS will work with schools to assign a choreographer and then arrange three days (or equivalent) to include 2.5 days of rehearsals at the school with half a day staging and performing the work at the prestigious Milton Keynes Theatre.

Each choreographer will work with two schools and will link the work to make one seamless performance piece.

MÓTUS are a registered charity who have been running dance festivals and programmes of work for all ages and abilities since 2013.

MÓTUS and their work are supported by Arts Council England, MK Gallery and Milton Keynes Council.

All artists and choreographers hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate and are fully insured. For all activity and sessions with the choreographers the project will cost £350 which equates to £14 p/child for 3 days of professional and artistic dance experience.

MÓTUS are also Arts Award Trained up to Silver Level. Tickets for parents and friends are not included within this price and are already available to buy from the Milton Keynes Theatre box office.
