As part of Milton Keynes’ ongoing initiative to link cultural spaces to sustainable transportation, MK Gallery, in partnership with Pedalling Culture, will unveil two electric vehicles wrapped in designs by internationally recognised artists in time for the Gallery’s opening next month.
The move underpins the growing uptake of electric vehicles in the city, while highlighting the electric charge points installed close to MK Gallery.
The wraps, which have been commissioned by Pedalling Culture, have been created by artists, Emma Hart and Ingrid Pollard, who will be showcasing their work at the Gallery’s opening exhibition, The Lie of the Land which charts how British landscape has been radically transformed through changing attitudes to free time, culture and leisure.
The cars, which have been supplied by the Electric Vehicle Experience Centre (EVEC) in Milton Keynes, will transport guests during the opening weekend on Saturday 16 March.
