TASTE-MAKERS ENJOY SUCCESS AT MK'S DEBUT FOODIE FEAST

Last weekend's food festival Feast, the area's biggest attempt yet to showcase local food and artisan talent, saw taste-buds well and truly tickled – with more than 3000 people getting stuck into temptations during the course of the day.

Organised by MK Food Revolution, FEAST brought together MK’s favourite food vendors, market stalls and entertainment.

Seventeen food producers joined with seven charities and community groups for the event at Bradwell Abbey.

Homemade bunting and flower decorations from social enterprise Branch-Out completed the friendly set-up of the historic barn and the abbey’s court yard.

We were overwhelmed by the success of FEAST,” said organiser Franzi Florack.

There is a real appetite for good quality food in Milton Keynes and it’s been brilliant to see that so many people came to support our local traders.

We are hoping to build on the impact of the event and would like to encourage more people to start their own food businesses.’

The next event is already booked – pop in your diary for July 24, 2016 – and will see a return to Bradwell Abbey.

Family-friendly entertainment, live music and a bar stocked with local beer, will supplement the next show and there will be ample outdoor seating to invite the residents of Milton Keynes to spend the day lip-licking and sating appetites.
