Alison Limerick who boasts over 200k monthly listeners on Spotify – and Gordon Hulbert are releasing a new single on 19th February 2020, with their latest project Algorisms.
Originally written by Hoagy Carmichael and Stuart Gorrell in 1930 and made famous in 1960 by the legendary Ray Charles, Algorisms’ rendition of 'Georgia On My Mind' takes the chart-topping single to a new level.
Algorisms metamorphosise both classic jazz numbers and modern hits into fresh Nu Jazz masterpieces, each one carefully crafted and woven together with elements of jazz, pop, classical, acoustic soul and RnB.
The project breathes a new lease of life into well-known tracks by combining a heady concoction of chord clusters, a variety of time signatures, boundless energy and imaginative improvisation.
Listeners are left breathless from the thrill of their favourite hits receiving an Algorisms makeover and can be in no doubt that they are hearing unique interpretations honed by experts.
Algorisms will hold the official launch event for the single on February 19 at The Stables in Milton Keynes.
