Catch Lake Komo at The Craufurd Arms

Lake Komo will be live at The Craufurd Arms this weekend, giving those of you with a loathing of Sunday night small screen dramas and a passion for breezy pop perfection, a juicy alternative.

Now based in Manchester, the Lancaster born quartet have spend recent time in the studio, crafting their debut album, a follow-on from the recent EP which saw expansive, bold arrangement, lush electronic soundscapes and emotionally driven songs make for quite the fusion.
The album is being produced by Cam Blackwood, who has also knob-twiddled on tidy deliveries by George Ezra and London Grammar.

Their style of coastal indie pop has hit a chord with audiences, and the band now boasts a burgeoning fan base that will only be swelled by this round of live shows.

If you can't wait until Sunday (October 23), check in with the video for recent track Milwaukee, which explores a break-up frontman Jay Nudd experienced one university summer.
"We wanted a video that would mirror the sentiment of the song whilst giving the viewer a real sense of discovery and wonder, and a road trip up the Californian coast gave us the perfect opportunity to do that," Jay said.

"The warmth and positivity of the American people we met along the way acted as the perfect accompaniment to a song which mainly looks at self-discovery, realisation and the excitement of things to come," he said.

Let's hope they brought a little of that Californian sunshine back with 'em!
