Total MK has terrible news for live music fans hoping to get their fill at this year's Properstock! Music festival.
The event, which was to have taken place at Springfield Farm between July 17 and 19, has been cancelled.
More than 250 artists were set to play across six stages during the weekend.
Those booked included RavenEye, Hacktivist (below), Monuments and Our Man in the Bronze Age.
Speaking to us earlier today, those behind the event said: “The council have decided not to give us the license due to too many objections...this is very, very frustrating and we wholeheartedly apologise, but we have now cancelled.”
Properstock! organisers are now looking to host a series of smaller events at various venues to honour as much of the planned music as possible.
Details will be announced in the coming days, and Total MK will keep you posted.
Meanwhile, refunds will be given to those who have purchased tickets.
“This is a horrible thing to happen, however we can assure you this will make us stronger and the lessons and skills we've learned this year will help us well,” organisers added.
