A Gala Summer Spectacular Concert is being hosted at Milton Keynes City Church on Sunday (July 22).
Music by Handel (Hallelujah Chorus), Parry (I was Glad), Elgar (Pomp and Circumstance No4), Rutter (Gloria), Bizet (Carmen), Bernstein (West Side Story) and Lalo (Symphony Espagnole) will feature - with the latter featuring violinist Cristian Grajner De Sa.
Cristian is firmly establishing himself as an emerging young talent.
He made his concerto debut at the age of 14 performing at St James's Piccadilly, London and has since enjoyed performing in many of the prestigious concert halls in the UK.
Most notably at the Wigmore Hall, Kings Place, Colston Hall, St Martins in the Fields, the LSE International Concert Series and a recent live broadcast on BBC Radio 3's InTune Programme.
Concerts abroad have taken him to the Mozarteum of Salzburg, Salle de l'Utopia of Lausanne in Switzerland, Ateneo de Madrid in Spain and he has enjoyed performances in France, Germany, Italy and the United States.
Born in 1994 of Portuguese and Italian heritage, Cristian was awarded the Leverhulme Scholarship at 13 to study with the French soloist Maurice Hasson at the Royal Academy of Music. He graduated in the summer of 2017 with a First Class Honours degree.
Upon his graduation, he was awarded the Regency Award and the J & A Beare Bow Prize; awarded only to the most outstanding violinist graduate at the Royal Academy. He is now enrolled at the Mozarteum of Salzburg in the class of Pierre Amoyal. In February 2017, Cristian performed alongside his mentor, Maxim Vengerov, in a performance of the Brahms Clarinet Quintet at the Royal Academy of Music.
He will be joined by The Cornerstone Chamber Choir & Orchestra, directed by Adrian Boynton.
