The traditional Proms event wound up the three-day event on Sunday, with a spectacular firework display pulling the curtain down on another successful year.

Organiser Mark Harrison was thrilled with the turnout, and the feedback: "We’ve been doing these concerts in Bedford Park for 23 years and this year was exceptional, it has been a great weekend for everyone, for all different age groups and audience profiles," he said.

"It has been a hugely successful weekend and we’ve had some 20,000 plus people through our gates this year.

"We are all very proud, its taken us time to get credibility but every year we are managing to attract the bigger acts.

"This event is for the public and I want them to feel proud their town can put on such a great event.

He added: "Thanks to everyone that came and had a good time with us, we’ve had great support and the feedback this year in particular has been really positive, a joy to read all the comments on our social media site. Until next year...
