Spear of Destiny to play The Craufurd Arms this week

Kirk Brandon has now been leading Spear of Destiny for more than three decades.
And he's still going strong;  2014 saw the release of the band’s 13th studio album '31 (Thirty-One)'.

The band formed in 1983 after the demise of Kirk's post punk iconic rockers Theatre of Hate, and the current live set  pulls on songs from the whole journey to date.
Classics including Liberator, Mickey, Rainmaker, The Wheel and Never Take Me Alive are found sitting closely alongside newer fan favourites such as Age of Unreason, Prison Planet, Judas, Lucky Man, Last Man Standing and of course a handful of songs from ‘31’.

In 2015 SOD headlined more than 50 UK club shows as well as topping the bill at October’s Whitby Goth Festival.

And Brandon’s own fan club event 'Westworld Weekend' sold out for the 3rd year running in May 2016.

Kirk Brandon debuted at the Craufurd Arms performing a solo show earlier in the year and sold the venue out and this Friday's gig (September 16) is Spear Of Destiny’s first full band show in town for more than a decade.

Northampton's alternative punk rockers Venus Fly Trap are up in support and tickets are on sale via seetickets at £15 in advance.
