Spun Out gears up for Record Store Day in Northampton

The countdown is on for this year's Record Store Day, happening on April 13.

The massive celebration of vinyl grows in stature every year, and is hugely important for record shops across the country.  It shines a light on their business, creates a buzz, and it has to be said, keeps the tills ringing!

"To us this means a celebration of our continued existence on the high street during hard times for shops, particularly music stores, thanks to the support of our great customers and the local community of Northampton who we strive hard to serve," said Spun Out's Chris Kent.

"A large number of music fans will visit the shop for the celebrations and the rare records that are released for the day and which we will be stocked to maximum capacity with.

"This year the support from the industry is massive with collectable releases from Queen, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Madness, The Specials, Idles and U2, and close to 500 more, of which we will be stocking an incredible selection."

The store will open at 8am DJs and live acts will perform throughout the day.

"We're putting on a great day of musical entertainment including the excellent band Lunaxis at 2.30pm and loads of other great acts,  including DJ sets from Kev Palmer, Scottie, Swiss Vince, Andi and Dan, to mention a few," added Chris.
