Folky Americana cool cats Hope in High Water are taking their sounds on the road early in 2018 for their first headline tour.
It will be a chance for the partnership to play material from last year's debut long-player Never Settle, to new ears.
Never Settle has been lauded for its honest, authentic and stripped back approach to the genre, receiving a 5/5 from R’n’R Magazine and 9/10 from Americana UK.
The duo have even scored airtime on BBC Radio 1.
The new video for the song ‘Bored Of Just Getting By’ is an animation from Luke Jones who has previously made videos for the likes of Frank Turner, Beans On Toast and Will Varley.
The song itself is a continuation of the ‘Never Settle’ theme; about the importance of feeling like you’re living a full life with all the ups and downs that that brings.
"It is an acceptance that we all at times have a tendency to feel a boredom that comes from trundling along in mediocrity but the song stresses the importance of not accepting dissatisfaction because it’s safe and comfortable and pursuing something meaningful, whatever that may be," Josh and Carly said.
Hope In High Water have stamped their mark on the UK folk/Americana scene and have been able to support many of the genre’s most prominent stars, including Justin Townes Earle, Nikki Lane, Willie Watson (Old Crow Medicine Show), Cale Tyson, Beans on Toast, Aoife O'Donovan.
Earlier this year they were also invited to perform at The Americana Music Associations showcase ahead of the UK Americana Music awards ceremony in London.
