The shock announcement that Rita Ora has postponed her headline spot in Bedford Park later this month could have been a massive blow for organisers of the Bedford Park Concerts series.
Instead, organiser LPH Concert and Events have secured a magnificent replacement - with Tom Odell and Tom Walker now signed up to entertain us on Saturday, July 27.
Tom Odell is at the very top of his game, with multiple awards and 1.8 million sales under his belt.
Songs such as ‘Another Love’ saw him shoot into the top ten charts and his debut album ‘Long Way Down’ shot straight to number one.
His following two albums also went top five in the album charts and his new album ‘Jubilee Road’ is described as a career defining record. Other stand out hits include ‘Real Love’, ‘If you Wanna Love Somebody’ and ‘Magnetised’.
Tom Walker is the winner of the Brit Awards ‘British Breakthrough Act’.
The Scottish born, Manchester-bred singer-songwriter broke through with his International hit single “Leave A Light On” which became one of the biggest songs of 2018 as well as featuring on the global Sony Bravia TV campaign.
"Leave a Light On" hit the number one spot in the iTunes chart in 17 countries including the UK and has sold over 2 million copies worldwide (300 million streams globally).
Fleur East, Louisa and Mistajam will complete the sterling billing.
Speaking about the new line-up promoter Mark Harrison said: "“I hope with the announcement of these acts, our concert goers will be excited by the new line up. The show must go on, sadly without Rita, but the acts taking her place will make sure the night is one of Bedford’s biggest successes yet.
"The team worked around the clock to pull some of the most exciting talent in the UK for the line up. We are committed to bringing the biggest names in the music world to Bedford Park and my goodness I’m pleased and relieved to say we have delivered. Thank you to Tom Walker, Tom Odell and Louisa for stepping in at short notice. Come and join us for an amazing night in Bedford Park."
