Competition: Win a copy of The Beatles in 100 Objects in Total MK's competition

The Beatles in 100 Objects is a chance to take a closer look at the biggest band in the world through some of the items that were owned and used by the Fab Four while they wowed the world!

Among the items featuring in Brian Southall's page-turner is a poster for their 1961 appearance at the Tower Ballroom in New Brighton (a gig which saw able support from Billy J Kramer and Gerry and the Pacemakers), and the promo single for She Loves You.

The Abbey Road piano gets a look-in, so too a floppy disc issued to fan club members, and 20 Forthlin Road in Liverpool is investigated, where Paul grew up.

There are – as the title suggests – another 95 items featured in the pages of this glossy, informative read that tells the stories behind the items, and links together their phenomenal career on the way.

But this could so easily have been a gargantuan read comprising 1000s of items – after all The Beatles marketability was massive; a bakery in Liverpool made Ringo Rolls, you could decorate your home in Beatles wallpaper or pick up a toy guitar with their name emblazoned across it.

And that's not forgetting ottomans, record players, chewing gum, wigs, cookies, popsicles, belts, toothbrushes and towels...and so on!

Whether a Beatles devotee or music aficionado, this book is certain to reveal some facts that you didn't know about the four Liverpudlian lads who left an indelible mark on pop music.
