The start of the year is an opportunity for self-reflection and setting resolutions: it’s time to let out with the old and in with the new.
By donating your pre-loved items to Wood Green, The Animals Charity - which has a store in Newport Pagnell - you can make space at home whilst making a real difference to pets in need.
The clothes you once cherished but are unlikely to wear again, the unwanted Christmas gifts that need a loving new home and the furniture that doesn’t fit with your latest home makeover can still spark joy for others – and pets too.
When you donate to Wood Green, you can declutter your home whilst helping to raise funds that transform pets’ lives.
Ralph Beevers, head of retail at Wood Green, said: “This January, many people will be tidying their homes and getting organised for the year ahead. As we all know, decluttering has a host of benefits – a tidy home can reduce stress and anxiety, increase your creativity by having clear spaces to practise your new hobbies and help you to focus on what’s important in your home.
"Not only that, but any clothing, bric-a-brac, furniture and electrical items you no longer want can help to raise essential funds that will allow Wood Green to continue helping pets and people, 365 days a year.”

Wood Green has helped almost 7,000 animals in the past year, from urgent veterinary treatment and care through to behavioural training and support for pet owners.
None of this life-saving work would be possible without the kind donations of new or pre-loved items that local community members no longer want. When you donate items to Wood Green, you will help to raise funds that transform pets’ lives. The charity will gratefully receive donations of clothing, bric-a-brac, furniture, electrical items and more. To make donating as easy as possible, Wood Green will collect your items for free.
