Man punched in face during robbery in Central Milton Keynes

Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in central Milton Keynes.

At about 7pm on Sunday 26 April the victim, an 18-year-old man, was sat on a grassed area of Avebury Boulevard opposite Columbia Place when he was approached by a man on a fluorescent yellow bicycle.

He got off the bicycle and approached the victim asking whether he wanted to fight. He then grabbed hold of the bag that the victim was wearing across his shoulder and punched him to the face.

The offender took the bag from the victim and cycled off in the direction of Campbell Park.

The victim did not sustain any injuries but the stolen bag contained house keys, personal documents and medication.

The offender is described as a skinny white man, approximately 6ft tall, with short dark brown hair. He was wearing a dark grey jumper and grey jogging bottoms.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Sebastian Kuzoe said: “I am appealing to anyone who was near to Columbia Place on Sunday evening and may have seen or heard anything and to anyone who recognises the description, particularly the distinctive bike, to get in touch.

“You can contact us using our online form quoting reference number 43200124068. Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously via their website or on 0800 555 111.”
