Alan Smith from Milton Keynes has been selected as the seventh and final winner of the Jessops Share Your Summer competition
Share Your Summer was a seven week campaign initiated by the camera and photography experts, to find seven of the very best summer snaps to showcase in the windows of its 52 nationwide stores.
After much deliberation, Alan was plucked from the thousands of submissions to display his work in Jessops stores up and down the country.
Alan’s stunning shot captures just what summer is all about – a family moment.
“Since a young age I have always had an appreciation for photography," Alan said.
"I started off with a compact camera and would take snaps on my travels, but never took it up seriously until around seven years ago when my first child was born.
"Having a family ignited my passion for photography, wanting to capture all of the children’s first and special moments. As my kids grew so did my camera gear, and my passion for sharing my view of the world through photography”.
Alan’s summer snap is now on display for all to view in Jessops Milton Keynes – as well as 51 more stores.
On top of a week-long window display, Alan will also be invited to proudly display his work in the Olympus-sponsored Project Space Gallery in Bermondsey, London from 8 th – 14th August.
The exhibition will be open to the public and anyone can visit to see the amazing images that were taken during the campaign.
