Carabosse theatre company announces new production for Milton Keynes

Carabosse Theatre Company is baxk in play with Electra Unbound — a bold, immersive reimagining of the classic Greek tragedy, coming to a new city stage near you this July.

Co-created by Sally Luff and Tim Dalgleish, and featuring original music by acclaimed singer-songwriter Mark Denman, this new production breaks theatrical boundaries to deliver a raw, unforgettable experience.

The same cclaimed team who previously gave us Dracula and Medea are at the helm once more, and Electra Unbound invites audiences into a world where vengeance and grief collide with electrifying intensity.

With staging that blurs the line between audience and performance, this adaptation reinvents classical theatre for a modern audience.

A Family Torn by Betrayal. Bound by Vengeance.

Electra Unbound tells the haunting story of Electra, tormented by the murder of her father, Agamemnon, at the hands of her mother, Clytemnestra, and her mother’s lover, Aegisthus. Trapped in grief and longing for justice, Electra clings to hope for the return of her brother, Orestes.

When he finally arrives—disguised—they unite to confront the past and reclaim their destiny.

This daring production breathes new life into an ancient tale, creating a powerful and emotionally charged theatrical journey.

The production runs from July 11th – 15th, 2025 at Stony Stratford's Swinfen Harris Church Hall
