Milton Keynes Muslim Youth Group supports residents in need

A Youth Organisation representing young Muslims helped to distribute water to the people of Leighton Buzzard over the weekend.

Members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA) joined forces with BLEVEC and Anglian Water to help distributing water to approximately 2000 people who were left without a water supply after a faulty valve blocked the supply to 12,000 families.

Youth leader Saeed Nazir said: "Whether it's flooding, fires or any other disaster, let our neighbours know that we will help you on every occasion as it is our religious obligation to go above and beyond for our neighbours.

"Regardless of whether you are Muslim or not, we are there to help our fellow brothers and sisters."
