Stick your neck out and enjoy a special weekend at Woburn Safari Park

Woburn Safari Park in Bedfordshire is to hold a Giraffe charity event this weekend (June 24 & 25) in aid of the Giraffe Conservation Foundation (GCF) and to raise money for endangered Rothschild's giraffes in the wild.

World Giraffe Day takes place a few days before on Tuesday 21st June and is an exciting initiative by the GCF to celebrate the world’s longest‐necked animal on the longest day of the year.

The weekend at Woburn includes giraffe-themed games and activities. Visitors can join the keepers (outside the Safari Restaurant) to help raise money to support this beautiful species and book a short VIP trip out into the giraffe reserve to meet the herd, for only £15 per person.

The Rothschild's giraffe is under increasing threat of extinction and GCF’s research and conservation work is crucial for their continued survival. The team of keepers at Woburn successfully raised over £3,000 for the GCF in 2016, and hope to raise even more this year!

An adorable male Rothschild’s giraffe calf named Arrow was also born at Woburn last month, which is important for the conversation of the species. To find out more, or to purchase mini VIP trip tickets, click here
