The Milton Keynes Salvation Army Band were at intu MK this morning, treating shoppers to traditional carols.
As is traditional, the MK Salvation Army will be hosting a dinner on Christmas Day for 50 people at their site on Ramsons Avenue in Conniburrow.
The event will begin with a carol service at 10.30am, followed by coffee and a Christmas lunch, with accompanying entertainment including karaoke!
"The event is for people on their own," said Salvation Army Major Irene Williams.
"It doesn't matter whether they are young or old, homeless or not, and they don't need to be poor.
"It is simply about accommodating people who are on their own."
A few spaces are still available. If you would like to attend, or know someone else who would benefit, please call 01908 606916 leaving details by Monday lunchtime.
> The Salvation Army are active in Milton Keynes all year round. They offer a Drop In event every Friday, with a free meal and shower facilities, and deliver weekly food parcels to people in need.
"We offer a listening ear too," Irene added.
