After a lengthy evaluation process Milton Keynes BID (Business Improvement District) are proud to announce that they have received official BID accreditation awarded by British BIDs, the Industry Body.
MyMiltonKeynes is the 27th BID to receive accreditation in the UK and the process provides a thorough assessment across a range of BID components including governance, management and operations, financials, performance management, communication and reporting.
The accreditation not only provides a positive endorsement from British BIDs, it also gives BID Managers and their BID Boards reassurance and peace of mind. A successful accreditation is an industry benchmark, and therefore gives levy payers confidence that their BID has effective governance in place and is accountable, transparent and trustworthy, and that their levy is in safe hands.
MyMiltonKeynes has been working tirelessly over the past 18 months since inception, to deliver on the promises of the original Business Plan, and this accreditation helps underpin the work the BID does to improve the city and the experience for all.
Professor Christopher Turner, chief executive at British BIDs, commented, “We are extremely pleased to have awarded MyMiltonKeynes BID accreditation. The in-depth process allows BIDs to step back and re-evaluate how they are operating to make sure they are meeting the highest level of provision possible for the business community.”
He added: “Accreditation allows levy payers and stakeholders to have a high level of confidence in the BID team, which in turn, gives reassurance in the ability to deliver positive change.”
