Knitting Nana is 'driving' a new line in creativity - by parking a postbox topper in Newport Pagnell on the topical theme of potholes!
It has only just gone on display on Lakes Lane, but is sure to be a traffic stopper!
"I couldn’t resist making a pothole / traffic related topper - it’s a hot topic of discussion in the town," she told Total MK, "I thought it would raise a smile!"
Mission accomplished.
The elusive lady also accompanied her woolly work with a poem:
'Newport Pagnell has potholes oh so deep,
It's enough to make the drivers weep,
We have diversions galore
Which makes your head spin and sore.
It's a test of skills for those who drive
A daily battle to survive.
Potholes, diversions, traffic lights set,
Through them all we succeed to get
Back home to Newport Pagnell town
Where potholes are grown.'
