If you’re looking for a challenge with a difference, one that will end in a slippery, bouncy heap of fun, then the 5k Aqua Run is for you, at the new Aqua Parcs on Willen Lake.
It’s being hailed as the first of its kind in the UK, the 5k (or 2.5k for families), in partnership with MK Trainer, starts with a walk, jog or run around Willen Lake over 4.2k (or 2.2k), then a short swim onto the Aqua Parcs and a lap around the course, a 100m swim and sprint finish.
“This is a great fun summer event that everyone can take part in, whether you’re wanting to set the best time for this event or simply just to try something new, this is real run with a difference,” said Joe Grix, owner of Aqua Parcs, Milton Keynes.
Andrew Whyte, owner of MK Trainer said: “Milton Keynes is full of people looking to get fit and try something different, myself and aqua parks Milton Keynes have come up with the Ultimate run with a difference which is first of its kind, It will be tough yet fun. The Aqua park is amazing fun and NEW to the lake, but why not try it after pushing yourself on the run. Wether you are running it with a few friends or going for your fastest time. The 5k run takes place on Saturday 11 August with the first run starting at 8am and subsequently every 20 minutes in groups of up to 50 people. The 2.5k run takes place on Sunday 19 August.
Entrants must be aged eight and above and must be able to swim 100m unaided with a life jacket on.
Costs for entry are as follows:
5k Aqua Run (August 11th)
£38 individual entry, £31.50 per person (group of 4+), all entrants 16 and over
Note that the group discount will be applied automatically for entries of 4 or more on a single order
2.5k Aqua Run (August 19th)
£20 individual adult (16 and over) entry, £10 child entry (aged 8 to 15 and accompanied by an adult)
