The MK Big Chat, hosted by MPs Mark Lancaster and Iain Stewart, proved to be a huge success with more than 50 businesses, charities and organisations from across Milton Keynes joining together to create new partnerships.
There are a wealth of networking groups in MK but this is possibly the first time an event has been created for a cross section of organisations to be together all under one roof.
Held at the Ridgeway Centre at Wolverton Mill, delivery robots, assistance dogs, and a micro-brewery used the day to “chat” to the likes of Bletchley Park, Thames Valley Police and the Woughton House Hotel, to name but a few.

Over twenty speakers took up the challenge of putting themselves under the “60 Second Spotlight” with speakers from Willen Hospice to MK College to Brioche Pasquier to the Youth Counselling Service.
Comments received from the exhibitors proved there is an appetite to do it again, “It’s a great venue and the speakers’ spotlight was a superb idea” and “Liked the mix of business/community/charity and the encouragement to chat in a relaxed atmosphere.”
Mark commented, “We are delighted with the overwhelming positive response and the call for us to organise another event! The diversity proved to be a winning formula and we would like to thank all the exhibitors and members of the public who came along to “chat”.
