Willen Hospice benefits from cross cultural community work

The Milton Keynes Bangladeshi Association has presented Willen Hospice with a cheque for £500.

The association’s motto is ‘Together for a better community’ and they have been working to bring the local community together, to engage with other cultures, share values and live in harmony.

Addul Hai said “Our members live in Milton Keynes and it is important for us to support a local charity. We have been supporting Willen Hospice for many years and recognise that they deliver excellent service. Our organisation is happy to support them now and in the future.

“We were delighted with the hospitality and a personal tour of the facilities when we visited the Hospice.”

Nikki Poole, Senior Community Fundraiser for Willen Hospice said “It’s only through the support and generosity of organisations like the Bangladeshi Association that we are able to offer our services free of charge to people who face life-limiting illnesses.”

Willen Hospice needs to raise £9 a minute; £4.7 million each year from the local community to ensure they can continue to deliver specialist care to patients in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.
