Students from Milton Keynes based Arts1 Theatre School are in the middle of an exciting week - having been chosen to take part in Bill Kenwright’s professional tour of Jesus Christ Superstar at Northampton’s Derngate Theatre.
This tour of Tim Rice and Andrew-Lloyd-Webber's rock opera stars double platinum-selling artist Rhydian Roberts as Pontius Pilate.
“We are fortunate to have such talented pupils and the ability to support this musical gives our kids a great ‘on stage’ opportunity with professional stage stars,” said Arts1 creative director James Grimsey.
Arts1 provides classes in musical theatre and acting as well as traditional lessons in dance and singing. Children from its musical theatre classes took part in competitive auditions to be included.
