Milton Keynes Theatre has announced that Stacey Solomon will star as Fairy Bowbells in the purr-fect family panto Dick Whittington this Christmas.
Stacey became a household name in 2009 after wowing the judges and making it to the final in third position in ITV’s The X Factor, also performing in the X Factor 2009 Live Tour. Since then she has enjoyed UK Singles Chart success with her Christmas single Driving Home for Christmas and has continued to perform live as often as her schedule allows.
As well as music, Stacey has carved out a hugely successful TV career which has included winning I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
As of 2016 Stacey has become a regular reporter on Channel 5's The Saturday Show and panellist on ITV’s Loose Women.
In 2014 Stacey appeared in Peter Pan: The Never Ending Story World Arena Tour as Tinkerbell, but this will be her debut in a traditional panto.
‘I’m so excited to be making my panto debut. I’m a mum of two young children and I know how much they enjoy watching panto so I can’t wait to be part of something that can help make some really special memories!" Stacey said of her new work engagement.
"It’s a magical time of the year and the perfect time for families to come together and have a really good laugh, regardless of your age. And I’ve got to admit that I’m looking forward to being a fairy too. I can’t wait to see my wand!’
Dick Whittington, also starring Samantha Womack, will be at MK Theatre from December 8 2015 to January 15, 2016.
