THE SUN WILL COME OUT FROM MONDAY - ANNIE RETURNS TO MK THEATRE

A stunning new production of a family classic hits the stage at MK Theatre from Monday (May 30) evening.

The tale of the red haired little girl and her plight to escape her nasty orphanage has enthralled for decades, and its return to the new city will  be an easy booker for many.

Set in 1930s New York during The Great Depression, Annie is living a life of misery at Miss Hannigan’s orphanage.

Desperate to find her real parents, her luck changes when she is chosen to spend Christmas at the residence of famous billionaire, Oliver Warbucks.

But spiteful Miss Hannigan has other ideas and hatches a plan to spoil Annie’s search...

Starring as the monstrous Miss Hannigan this time around is a lady more well known for her love of chasing the fellas than she is for being nasty to kids in need.

Lesley Joseph is best known for playing Dorien in Birds of a Feather, of course, but she has plenty of stage form too, and has delivered Miss Hannigan in the West End before now.

Musical fans have got a corker of a package with Annie; It’s a Hard Knock Life, Easy Street, I Don’t Need Anything But You and Tomorrow will stir emotions and cause the odd impromptu hum along.

Annie will be with us until Saturday, June 4 and you can book tickets by visiting www.atgtickets.com/miltonkeynes
