WHIP-CRACK-AWAY...CALAMITY JANE IS COMING TO TOWN
Jodie Prenger made a career for herself when she fought off stiff competition to win the role of Nancy in the West End production of Oliver!
Millions saw her win the part on the BBC television series I'd Do Anything.
But Jodie has left tragic Nancy behind and is ready to Whip-Crack-Away in the title role of Calamity Jane.
The UK tour rides into Milton Keynes Theatre from Tuesday (Nov 25).
Calamity Jane can outrun and outshoot any man in Deadwood. Hard, boastful and desperate to impress, she travels to Chicago to recruit a star, Adelaide Adams, for the Deadwood Stage.
'But things don't go too smoothly for Calamity, as everyone in town favours the new girl and she struggles to keep her jealousy and pride in check. It takes her long-standing enemy Wild Bill Hickok to make her see sense, and realise her Secret Love...'
Starring alongside Jodie - in the role of Wild Bill - is former Emmerdale star Tom Lister, with Alex Hammond as Danny and Phoebe Street as Katie Brown.
Calamity Jane will show at the venue through to Saturday, November 29.
Tickets start at £10 and rise to £29.50.
Call to book on 0844 871 7652.
> Also at the venue this week: Comedian Jon Richardson presents his current show Nidiot today (Nov 23), and Marty Wilde's Rock N Roll Party - starring Marty Wilde, Eden Kane and John Leyton - arrives on Monday evening.
