A little heads up about the next production coming courtesy of the fine folks at Wolverton's Gilbert and Sullivan Society.
Considered by some the funniest of Gilbert and Sullivan’s operettas, Iolanthe tells the story of a shepherd boy’s attempt (with the aid of some feisty fairies) to overthrow the privileges enjoyed by the nobility.
The 1880 satire is not wasted even today.
Iolanthe will go live at Stantonbury Theatre from Wednesday, March 27 for a four-day stay.
Ticket prices are adults £17; over 60s/unwaged £15; under 14s £5.
