Oh to be in New Orleans, soaking in the party atmosphere of Bourbon Street, sipping the odd Daiquiri (or three) as we go, and tipping our ears to the endless stream of bar-based blues that seep into the street, mixing with the bustle of party seeking, music loving crowds.
And all the while bathing in the warmth on offer.
Stony Stratford might not be a million miles away from Nola, but it is a few thousand.
You can still enjoy the sounds of the region though.
On Friday night (May 22) The Cock Hotel is hosting a night of New Orleans Blues, with music being peddled by MK's own Ian Anderson, Tracy Walters and Good Time Jazz, with singer Cathy Woodward.
Tickets for the session are £7 which includes a New Orleans bap!
Doors open at 7.30pm, advance tickets can be purchased direct from the watering-hole, or from Odell's in the town.
