Harry Potter devotees don't have long to wait now - fans are invited to dress up in their best costumes and gather at WaterstonesMK tomorrow evening for the third annual Harry Potter Book Night!
This year the store will celebrate that stalwart and brave bunch of teachers extraordinaire, the Professors of Hogwarts - get your wands and robes at the ready. All witches, wizards and Muggles aged five to 95 are welcome (but you must be accompanied by adults if under the Hogwarts entrance-age of 11).
A magical evening of fun and games awaits, including wicked worksheets, readings, a prize for the best costume and a splendidly devious quiz!
Take costumed selfies, or put yourself in the frame as a moving portrait from Hogwarts!
This year’s event promises to be more popular than ever, following a stellar 2016 for JK Rowling and the wizarding world she created.
The stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child opened in the West End to rave reviews, the play’s script book topped the bestseller charts and the screen adaptation of Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, the first in a series, proved a huge success at the box office.
Since its launch in 2015, Harry Potter Book Night has quickly established itself as one of the biggest events in the literary calendar, enjoyed by multi-generational fans in bookshops all around the world. The annual event aims to keep the Harry Potter magic alive and to share our love of Harry Potter with younger readers to help them to discover the adventures of the boy wizard for the first time.
Enjoy the evening – but please be careful where you park your brooms. We don't want a visit from the Ministry of Magic!"
The event runs between 6pm and 8pm at Waterstones, intu, Milton Keynes. Admission is free.
