The Handmade & Vintage Extravaganza returned to thecentre:mk today (Sat), turning Middleton Hall into a bustling hive of shoppers, all with their own, unique shopping agendas.
H&V hand-picks the best traders in original handmade crafts, and retro, unique oddities and lines them up for you in abundance – some 120 stalls were trading early this morning.
Retro fashions and fabrics, old-fashioned toys rediscovered and delightful dollies (and teds) looking for new owners to adore them were among the items screaming out to potential purchasers.
Fancy something naughty, but nice? A trip to the cup-cake stall might do the job, or how about a cheeky brownie? Want to indulge, but trying to watch the waistline?
Then how about a donut cushion?
A comfy – fat free – way to get your fill.
We were wowed by the enticing, vibrant works courtesy of Michael G Hiskins (above, his stall was littered with A-listers – from Bugs Bunny to Spider Man), and the pretty delicate acetate and card creations from Crafts 2 Dye 4.
Brocant (below) wow the eyes with retro kitsch, design classics and religious ephemera en masse.
Only the best, mind. Quirky and very, very cool.
You'll not find another dealer quite like Brocant, not will you need to when they have plenty to keep your curiosities engaged.
Buckingham artist Brian Eldridge made his debut at today's event, with a selection of fine art pieces for you – check the Banksy-inspired Wockamaloos if you get the opportunity.
Polka Dot Bikini (top pic) do a fab range in personalised greeting cards, framed artwork and small gifts.
Have you named the special day? Do you want to send a special 'Thank You' or just say 'Hello' with a touch of class. Bypass the bland for a PDB original.
Where else can you enjoy a nostalgic journey through antiques, vintage and collectables interspersed with the very best in local designer-makers – and not have to pay an entry fee?
If you've not sharpened your credit card yet, worry not – you can give it a spank tomorrow between 10.30am and 5pm.
