The world famous battle rap league ‘Don’t Flop’ will hold their first Milton Keynes event at the award-winning Bucks Star Brewery venue this Saturday (October 21).
A combination of comedy roasting, tongue-twisting rap lyricism, and characters who could come from World Wrestling’s heyday, battle rap is a truly unique experience. Clocking in over 157 million views and counting, Don’t Flop has been a pillar of the battle rap community since 2009. Past events have been everything from packed-out pits in the legendary Ministry of Sound to boutique booths in speakeasy-style music nooks.
Post-Covid, the battle rap scene is thriving from the return to live performances, and is exploring new territory.

Milton Keynes may not be the first place you’d think of in association with the UK rap scene, but you’d be surprised; scratch DJs and vinyl turntablist collective BreakToTheBeat have held hip-hop events all over the area - the most recent taking place in MK shopping centre.
Don’t Flop will hold their event ‘BreakOut’ in Wolverton venue Bucks Star Brewery.
Already host to The Land of Drum and Bass and Comedy on Tap, the afternoon rap battle event will be right at home. Never been to a rap battle? Time to tick it off the bucket list. Mum-joke connoisseur? You can expect elements of hip-hop culture including scratch DJs, break-dancing, live art - and if you’ve got bars, come jump on the cypher. Special guests include Soweto Kinch, who jazz heads will know from his sax skills.
Don’t Flop: BreakOut starts at 1pm on Saturday 21st October. Tickets are available here
