With spring around the corner, the team at B&Q want to encourage families to get outdoors and enjoy gardening by hosting planting demonstrations in conjunction with Sutton’s Seeds at stores throughout the UK on Saturday (Feb 18).
The vegetable planting workshop will run at the B&Q Milton Keynes store from 12pm to 2pm and will be hosted by the in store B&Q horticulturalists who will help to show children (and mums and dads) how to grow their own food.
Mike Norton, Market Director for Outdoor at B&Q, said: “Children will be fascinated as they see the seeds they’ve sown themselves grow into flowers and produce. Seeing the bees and butterflies visiting the flowers is a great way for them to engage with nature. And they will be so proud to see the vegetables they’ve grown themselves make it in to their dinner!”
The B&Q planting workshops will take place at B&Q Bradwell Common between 12pm and 2pm.
