Milton Keynes City Orchestra welcomes Russian-born pianist, BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist, Pavel Kolesnikov for the Tchaikovsky filled season finale at MK Theatre next Sunday (June 12).
Pavel (above) will play Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1. as the centrepiece of the programme.
Widely acclaimed, he made his Wigmore Hall debut in January 2014, and The Telegraph awarded his recital a five-star review, calling it ‘one of the most memorable of such occasions London has witnessed in a while.’
Since becoming Prize Laureate of the Honens Prize for Piano in 2012, Kolesnikov has been winning hearts around the world, releasing a live recording of his prize-winning performance on the Honens label in March 2013, of which the BBC Music Magazine wrote ‘tremendous clarity, unfailing musicality and considerable beauty.’ This concert will also feature performances of Tchaikovsky’s Queen of Spades Prelude and Symphony No. 5.To book your seat for the end of season spectacle, click to www.atgtickets.com/miltonkeynes
