Flying violins! Speed skating ballerinos! Släpstick – the award-winning ode to the timeless comedy of Charlie Chaplin, the Marx Brothers and Laurel & Hardy – embarks on its first ever UK tour this Autumn, and it has Milton Keynes in its sights.
Five world-class performers from the Netherlands – who between them have mastered over 100 instruments – perform a spectacular collection of musical and comedy acts rooted in the slapstick tradition but with avery modern twist.
A perfect blend of virtuosic musicianship, lung-bursting physical comedy and heartfelt nostalgia, Släpstick has left audiences of all ages and critics breathless during wildly successful runs at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and across Europe.
The show arrives at The Stables on Wednesday (October 24).
