Fringe Fest 2016: '11 slightly shocking days' in Milton Keynes

Don't forget to check in with at least a few attractions playing out under the banner of the fourth biennial MK Festival Fringe this week.

It is being billed as '11 slightly shocking days' and awash with theatre, arts, music, comedy and dance, as is traditional.

From well-travelled players on the UK fringe circuits to mysterious and new characters, this year's event has got plenty of newbies on the rise too – many of them from right here on our doorstep – writers, performers, film-makers and visual artists.

“This year we're able to offer more 'fringe' than ever before with venues across the city opening their doors to audiences who are brave and willing,” said artistic director Jessica Rost.

In all, there are just under 50 events to choose from when MK Fringe begins on tomorrow (July 13).
