A series of special tours offering you the chance to get up close to the animals of Woburn Safari Park are in place this spring and summer.
It allows visitors a rare look behind the scenes and the opportunity to get up close and including lions, rhinos, tigers and bears.
Taking place on April 22, May 13, June 17 and July 1 & 15, Bob's Safari Adventures include the rare opportunity to explore the animal houses and get amazingly close to an array of the Park’s big animals.
Guided by Woburn’s charismatic ‘Bob the Ranger’, guests will take a grand tour of the Park, meet the keepers, and learn first-hand about each species; their care, behaviours, personalities and the conservation efforts being undertaken at the Park.
The day-long tour begins with a trip inside the African lion house and the opportunity to meet the pride in their secure overnight pens.
To follow, how about a close encounter with the Southern White rhino herd and an off road tour of the Road Safari in a VIP Land Rover.
Visitors will see magnificent wild animals such as critically-endangered Amur tigers, North American black bears, Rothschild’s giraffe and Barbary macaque monkeys.
After a break for lunch to refuel after an exhilarating morning, visitors will enjoy an elephant demonstration and have time for a photo opportunity with a member of the herd.
Before home time, enjoy a special trip to meet the residents of the Foot Safari which is home to smaller residents such as meerkats, Humboldt penguins, Californian sea lions and four species of lemurs.
And during the course of the day, you will also be able to meet some of the latest arrivals at the park; two endangered Amur tiger cubs and three North American black bear cubs in the Kingdom of Carnivores section of the Road Safari.
