Milton Keynes theme park Gulliver's Land is set to hold its second Toddler Plod for a children's charity after last year's event proved a big hit.
Hundreds of toddlers will step out on a short sponsored walk beginning at noon on Thursday September 24th at Gulliver's family theme park.
Monies raised will be given to Gulliver's chosen charity POD, which organises entertainment on hospital children's wards up and down the country, bringing smiles to children's faces when they need it most.
'Plodding' will consist of five short stages of around 50 metres each, led by members of the Gully Gang.
It will start with Gilly's Gentle Plod to get little legs started, before children will be challenged to plod like a piggy, a lion (roaring all the way!) and an elephant waving its trunk in the air.
Then, Gully's Grand Plod will see toddlers toddle in procession to the finish line.
The park will be open from 11am for Toddle Plod registration, and there will be music, dancing, face painting, character appearances and more adding to the fun of the event, which will be a great day out for preschool and toddler groups.
With the Plod under their belts, participants are welcome to enjoy theme park fun, with specially selected rides and attractions open just for little ones between 12-30 and 2-30pm, and entertainers will be on hand to bring an extra dose of fun to the special day.
It costs just £2 to register a child for the Toddler Plod, plus a minimum £3 sponsorship donation which goes directly to POD.
You can also boost your fundraising for POD by downloading a sponsorship form from the Gulliver's website www.gulliversfun.co.uk
The closing date for registrations is September 21st.
Each child participating in the Toddler Plod will receive a certificate, a commemorative award and a fantastic prize pack filled with loads of goodies.
"The Toddler Plod is set to be a huge day out for under-fives so we'd love you to get involved and help us to raise lots of money for a wonderful cause - just £5 is enough to pay for one child's smile in a hospital near you!" said a Gulliver's spokesman.
"We never know when the little ones amongst our friends and family might require some hospital treatment. It's comforting to know that in such an event, it can still be a happy experience with the help from POD entertainers.
"POD currently run shows in 80% of the UK's children's hospices and hospital wards. We want to help increase that to 100% and to add even more shows per week!"
