Hello Stranger works to combat loneliness in Milton Keynes

In a world where we are supposed to be more connected than ever, many of us are actually feeling more shut off than ever.

In Milton Keynes, the new group Hello Stranger is fighting back, bringing people together for an hour or two of 'no strings attached' conversation.

The group meets once a month at MK Gallery Cafe, and you've no need to fear arriving on your own - a friendly host will welcome you in.

"Don't worry about what you might talk about; we can never plan for these things. It might be funny, might be awkward, might be boring...who knows! But that's part of the fun," say those behind Hello Stranger.

You might be a stay at home parent missing adult conversation; a commuter who leaves the city a lot, retired or a freelancer working at home, missing day-to-day chat, seeing your friends less for whatever reason, someone who just loves to meet new people!

Modern life can feel a little disconnected, but Hello Stranger is here to remind everyone how nice a good chat feels and is for everyone and anyone.

The next meet up is set for Sunday, November 5 at 11am at the Galelry Cafe, and if you want to attend, simply send them a message through Insta: @hellostrangermk or FB here

The event is free, and the only requirement is that you bring a smile.
