Music at the Milton Keynes City Church this Saturday (May 7) comes from violinist Cristian Grajner de Sa and pianist Susana Gómez Vázquez.
Cristian was awarded the Leverhulme Scholarship from the Royal Academy of Music at the age of 13 and began his studies with French violinist, Maurice Hasson. He has worked with Tasmin Little and Maxim Vengerov and completed his university education at the Mozarteum University, Salzburg.
The 24-year-old has performed around the world and his playability has been broadcast on BBC Television, BBC Radio 3, Scala Radio FM, The Strad Magazine, RTP Portugal, TVR Romanian National Television and The Violin Channel.
Upon his graduation with First Class Honours from the Royal Academy of Music, London in 2017, Cristian was awarded the distinguished 'J & A Beare Prize'; gifted to the most outstanding violinist of the conservatoire. He plays a Giuseppe Guadagnini, 1800.
Since her debut in 2006 at the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, Susana Gómez Vázquez has revealed herself as one of the young pianists with the greatest projection on the music scene today.
Her concerts take her all over Europe and Latin America.

She has won first prize in the Concurso de Juventudes Musicales de España, the Concurso Internacional Ciutat de Carlet, Iris Dyer Competition of the Royal Academy of Music, Freddy Morgan and Wigmore Hall Competition (soloist and chamber music), EMCY Prize, Maud Hornsby Award and the Franz Reizenstein Prize. There's a certain pattern emerging, wouldn't you say?!
She has recently been awarded first prize at the Colburn International Virtual Piano Seminar 2020 and at the Alcalá Suena 2021 festival.
Some of Susana's compositions have been premiered at concert halls in London and Warsaw with a variety of internationally renowned orchestras.
Saturday's programme will include Deux Morceaux pour violin et piano Lili Boulanger, Sonata in G minor Debussy, Berceuse Op 16 Fauré, Andante Op 75 Fauré, Tzigane, rapsodie de concert Ravel
and Sonata in A major Franck
Tickets are available at the door £14 (£1 child) and there is ample free parking is available close by.
